In-Hull & External Transducers

In-Hull transducers are mounted in a tank inside the hull and send sonar pulses through the hull into the water. They can only be used in solid glass sections of hull. Any core material in the hull will block the signal. Tanks can be cut to fit the hull contours. Tanks should be filled with propylene glycol (non-toxic antifreeze).

External transducers mount outside the hull or in a pocket in the hull or keel.

The models listed here are conventional transducers that use fixed frequencies. For CHIRP transducers, see the Single-Band and Dual-Band CHIRP pages. For Smart transducers with NMEA output see the Smart Transducers page.
